I think that its cool that you have your own subculture and all that. But was just wondering how many of you out there are over the age of 18? Is it just for the teenies are are there adults in the culture as well???

Yes there are young adults still dressing Goth. My daughter is one of them, but when working or applying for work she dresses normally. I think it will lessen as they age. Can't imagine a 40 year old still being Goth unless they are in a band. We hippies, well most of us, have aged out of it....

I was Goth in the early 80's... It started (as a subculture) with Anne Rice and Dark Shadows.

I was Goth before there was Goth... Imagine how much of a freak I seemed like at the time in Northern California?

I am still all about the dark aspects of life but don't care much for it's modern version... It is too played out and theatrical for someone my age but it is cool for the kids.

I'm 26 years old and can never remember feeling that I want to wear pink(nor have I!) I do dress normally at work, but as soon as I get home, it's head to toe black almost everyday! And I have friends the same age that do the same! So, next time you think that there's something off kilter about that woman or man sitting next to you at an interview, remember they probably can't wait to get that crap off and get home and put on a BLACK SABBATH shirt!!
