I have some sterling silver and would like to preserve it and keep it from tarnishing. The advice was to wash it in hot sudsy water and buff it dry, then store it in silver cloth. Where can I find silver cloth? What is it?

Not sure exactly what is in the cloth, but you can get it at regular jewellery stores that sell silver jewellery. I know Tiffany's sells them pretty cheap (I bought mine for a little less than US$4 for a pretty big piece). It's basically a piece of cloth that you use to wipe down the tarnish on your silver jewellery to make it shine again. It's different from regular cloth in that lint doesn't come off it and the tarnish turns up grey on the cloth.

Also if you go to supermarkets, I bet you can find it. If you don't know where, just ask the sales.

the cloth has a chemical which prevents the tarnish, you can buy it at any jewelry store and on eBay at a bargain price

I believe it's a specially treated cloth. Your jeweler can give you advice about where to get one.
