It's not that expensive to ship your car from Los Angeles to Hilo. Matson quotes $975 to ship from Long Beach to Hilo. All you have to do is drive your car to Long Beach to ship it.

Nowadays? A minimum of 2500-3000....heck, it's OVER a grand to ship within continental now...sell it and buy one there.
