Yes, anyone with kidneys can get kidney infections. Lower back pain could be many things though. If you think you have an infection get to you doc and get on some antibiotics. In the mean time....lots of water and cranberry juice.

It is not far-fetched at all. Bacteria are little creatures that like to travel. If he has a kidney infection his doctor gave him sulfa or antibiotic drugs for it and within two days of taking either (assuming a culture was done and the drug was cross matched to the pathogen) sexual activity can be resumed, otherwise the bacteria can definitely pass out of his body along with the pre-ejaculate or sperm and cause an infection in her, though in most cases this rarely happens. When you have a severe enough infection that it's gone up to your kidneys yourself you'll see that both urinating as well as ejaculation are painful-most likely this and the self consciousness associated with the sexual act is what's perturbing your friend. Why he wouldn't want to have her speak to the doctor is a bit suspicious.

Yes, very much so. However, if you only have the symptom of lower back pain, there could be a whole bunch of reason for that other than kidney trouble. Definitely make an appointment to see a doctor, friend.

Yes you can. Too much calcium and not enough liquids can do this. Anyone can get a kidney infection. Drink alot of cranberry juice, check the juice to water ratio, you don't want 5% juice, you need more than that. And get yourself to a Dr, stat! You could end up with kidney failure, which can be fatal. Good luck!

we men get kidney infection all the time, and left untreated it can be fatal. However your pain can be from not eating properly (gas) as well as the way you lift something earlier. Don't just assume it is your kidney. get it checked out
