I don't think some of the answers were appropriate. I meant that I had left college and had since been offered employment but I had been off collge because of family reasons and am worried this may affect the offer? Any other advice? Thank you

Everything has effect on other things. Whether it is negative or positive depends on what you do with it. If you left college for employment that was a choice. You made a choice based on your desires. I worked full time while I attended college and helped with my family. I also did much volunteer work while I was in college. I graduated with honors. I made choices. I am not blowing my horn, I am nothing without Christ but everything through him. God enabled me to make wise choices by asking his will for my life. He directed for his plan for my life not for my own plan. You left college for the family? Well, then that says to me that your family and working was more important to you than school. What is wrong with that? I think those are very good priorities. God should always be first, family second. If the income is needed and you can't seem to work and attend school for whatever reasons, then you make choices. We all do what we can, with what we have, and where we are at in life. If you are honest about that with yourself and others you should be a success. If you want to return to school later, tell them the honest reasons you left and what has changed to bring you back to school. None of us can have our cake and eat it to. We sacrifice something along the way. I gave up my social life for 5 years and things that I wanted for myself. The reasons I prioritized the way I did was based on what I wanted for God, family and self. Get on your knees and ask God what he wants for your life and you will never regret anything you do. One cannot be in the spirit and the flesh. You either live a way that pleases yourself or a way that pleases God. The funny part of it is that when one lives for their own pleasure they never end up happy and one gives back their free will to God and accepts his guidance they actually find happiness. The antichrist decieves peoiple to think the opposite of the truth...he makes wrong sound and look right...and right sound and look wrong.

Be honest with the employer - explain, if asked, why you took time off college. Whats the worst that can happen.

A) no job - did you really want to work for such an uncaring company?

B) you still get the job - no probem.

Just read your previous question and if your lecturer is a reference then they will ask him/her about your attendance, the employer will then want to know why it was possible for you to attend work but not attend your course at college, and if you have a valid excuse which I'm sure you have then this shouldn;t effect your chances of employment. But if they do contact your lecturer they will ask. so be warned of that.
