My father is the very first I confess to. He still accepts me as his daughter and love me no matter what... but he told me that I must be careful, not everyone is willingly enough to accept me with open hand. What do you think then? I enjoy my life as bisexual and I don't like to hide this kind of truth...

PS: My father also told me that my mom was also bisexual herself... is it merely coincidence? Or is bisexuality has something to do with my genetics or bloodline?

Modern society is openly accepting women as bi-sexual. Men are not as readily accepted and Homosexuality is slowly becomming a norm in current culture thanks to music, film and TV that shows its not aas evil as everyone first thought.

So I believe its fine for you to be a bi-woman openly. Having said that there are still people who live in the darkages and will make your life hell just because your different. These same people have alot in common with other wierdos who follow religious extremeism and also hate people of different race, social station and intelligence.

As for genetics, I believe there have been a number of studies which pretty much prove that there is a "gay/Bi" gene. in a number of families that have have outed members its easy to find a chain of the gay gene. In families that its not obvious it namely because people are not comming out.

Good luck, and btw I LOVE BI Women :P

Maybe bisexuality is inherited for you! My best friend is bi, and so is her kid sister, and so was her grandma.

That said, there are a *lot* of people who won't accept you--gay and lesbian as well as straight. But a lot of people will, and they won't always be who you think. It's best not to hide, at least socially, because hiding can lead to heartbreak. Besides, would you really want to date or make friends with someone who has a problem with an important part of you like that?

Sometimes, for a job or survival abroad, you may have to hide for a while, and in that case, you need to hold the truth to yourself really tight, like a tiny newborn that needs nurturing, and get out as quick as you can.

I'm glad you said you enjoy your life. Obviously that's what counts. I'm so glad your father's accepting, too.

GOOD LUCK!!!

The straight community accepts bisexuality better than the homosexual community.(especially bi women. Bi men still have it pretty hard.) Heterosexuals find it easier to deal with bisexuals bcuz they know u at least have some sense of an attraction to members of the opposite sex. But many 100%lesbians are disgusted with bisexual women because they see it as being indecisive, confused and greedy. Many dont want anything to do with men and that includes having to worry that there bisexual girlfriend is going to be tempted by a man!!

You will find both accepting and intolerant people on both sides of the fence.

There will be str8s and gays that think that you are gay and looking for heterosexual priviledge and there will both who think it's just a phase on the way to being fully straight or gay.

The truth is, just be yourself and don't worry about who will approve and who will not.

Human sexuality is very complex. It is entirely possible that there is a genetic connection there, but I suspect that that almost ALL humans exhibit at least SOME small amount of bisexuality even if they are primarily straight or gay.

People will say that being bi or gay is in your blood. Not everyone accepts it. It is more accepted if you are but lead the "straight" life by getting married or being in relationships with the opposite sex. There are even gay people who think you should just "make up your mind" and date one or the other. Some people are just more accepting than others.

I would say that it will probably be easier for you just because you are a woman. Most men have no problem at all accepting the fact that you are bisexual. If there are people who can't accept it just stay away from them.

Sure, I am ready to accept Bisexual women.

But as a lesbian, I wouldn't date one.

Now, not all lesbians aren't perfect, we have our issues just like everyone else.

But being left for a man...ugh

you don't have to hide, and you don't have to go out and tell everybody. just go on with your life. what your father said about society is right, not everybody accepts sexualities other than straightl friends who know you well are more likely to react in a good way to this, and about other people, tell them if you feel like telling, or just if asked.

. I hear of people being bi more and more in fact several of my daughters High school friends are saying that they are bi. I think there is more acceptance now a days but there are still those who will be prejudiced. Why do young people have to tout their sexual preferences? Keep it private like us oldtimers do.
