they were allowing it but the mother had to taste it infront of airport staff or something if thats changed and there just not allowed then yes thats a little harsh ,but also i think if there gonna stop people taking drinks on boared they gotta be a bit more realistic about the sort of drinks they serve on the plane last time i was on a plane i ordered a coke it was a quid for one of those stupid miniture coke cans one mouthfull what a joke for the amount of drinks they sell why cant they just sell normal cans for the normal retail price dont get it just a con especislly when your on an 11hour flight.

Baby milk is allowed if you drink some to prove it's OK
As for the rest wouldn't you rather be safe than blown halfway around the country side or slammed in to the side of a building.

The liquid bomb scare came about from a previous scare:
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1225152,00.html
In December of 1994, according to U.S. court documents, Ramzi Yousef and Wali Khan Amin Shah, were instrumental in the bombing of a Philippine airlines flight en route to Japan that was a dry run for their much more ambitious attempt to blow up a dozen jets simultaneously. They managed to smuggle a container of liquid explosive concealed in contact lens solution aboard the airplane on an earlier flight, leaving it under a seat in row 26. The explosion killed a Japanese man and forced the plane to make an emergency landing.

no cause america is doing it too. i say that everyone should just go naked and are only allowed to carry things in a clear plastic bag. everything must be checked otherwise. no foods or liquids allowed unless you buy them in the airport.
i just hope some jerk-off terrorist doesnt try a thong bomb or thats where we're going to be next!
and i thought formula was only allowed if you have the baby with you and you taste it in front of them. they are just worried that someone is going to have something explosive or biological. they are just trying to protect you.

Yes, I think this is ridiculous! There's no way terrorists would be able to make up a bomb on a plane out of just liquids so easily. It's just part of the government's plan to make us fearful of terrorism and grateful to big strong Tony Bliar and John Reid for protecting us.

Personally, I agree with any precautions put in place, after all it is our safety that is the reason for such actions.
