your problem is that you didn't take the time to rid the area of the moles first........ If you don't get rid of all exsisting moles then they will just keep tunneling through your mountain and collapsing it.......

Normally, anytime you are digging... someone else is putting the dirt right back on and vice versa... It's futile.
