Simple - Walrus' (Walruses Walri - whatever) do not wear trainers/sneakers - everyone knows that Hedgehogs are at the height of fashion and always wear the newest Nike trainers. I saw a little hedgehog in my local bar showing off his new Jimmy Choo's. They really know good footwear when they see it.

Ooh, see I never got into Sonic the Hedgehog, but Sonic the One-Eyed Albino Walrus? That would be sweet!

Hedgehog more maneuverable than one-eyed-albino Walrus. Walrus kind of fat, blubber-full. Dragon know. Dragon eet Walrus once. Walrus did not taste good. Dragon not eet Hedgehog, Hedgehog too prickly.

The one-eyed albino walrus would scare the poor tots to death and beyond.
So... they tried with an animal never showed on tv.
