i am going to give you simple answer,in cali,by the 70's and 80's contest,movies,mags,etc.,it's not a extreme spot that's some espn bullsh*t its a life style

California in the 1970s-there was a movie made about the pioneers of skateboarding last summer called Lords of Dogtown which tells you all about it.

The Z-boys, baby. It was all the Z boys. They started it in the 1970's in Venice Beach, California. Tony Hawk learned how to skate from them.
