Well, i would hope that the temperature at the time of the location of said road kill, was near or at least under 40 degrees....And remember if you use a meat thermometer, and the interior of the meat reaches 160 degrees for at least 15 seconds, to kill all bacteria...I would say, it would be just like eating any other piece of meat. There are a lot of variables, but if I was desperate, and hungry.....I wouldnt have a problem with it

Yes. There is a list after a deer or moose is killed in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. If the driver does not want it, the police call the next name on the list.

Yes, but it has to be fresh. You shouldn't eat something that's been dead for 2 or 3 days, but if its from an overnight kill then you should be ok.
