I have had a BF for 2 years now and live with him. Wea ren't intimate anymore and he is very lazy around the house. He doesn't pick up ANYTHING and thinks i am a maid for hire and should do the dishes all the time. I think this is a glimpse of what is yet to come, but i don't know how to leave. We have a lease that is a year long and a pet. Please help me..I know that I am not going to marry this man and I have to find a way to get out...
Thanks

You don't just fall into a role like this! You started doing this by choice- So if you have decided it is over, do it by choice too!
Start planning, when the lease is gone, so are you!

Talk to him. tell him you know you aren't going anywhere. Either live as roommates until lease is up, or someone needs to go. be adult about. if he turns into a jerk, just move out!

That was actually from somebody else, but I really think that is a good idea. I (being a man) have had this happen. Not being lazy just not working out. It was kinda weird at first but it will eventually work out and if he gets psycho then get out of there! Trust me it will work cause I think deep down you still want to be with him or you would have already left. Maybe he just needs a good kick in the gut to show him whats up!

You have to talk to him and tell him to get his act together if not his going to lose you. The pet stays with you as he will forget to feed it, this might be hard in finding a place that will take you as well as the pet but with a little Patience you'll find something, the lease can be expensive to break but some one can stay and whoever does can always get a room mate to share the rent.

Remember to have everything planed out if your the one who is leaving. You don't want to be thrown out with no where to go.

Maybe you could just pick up your own things until the lease is up. Also get a job if you don't have one so you will be ready to go as soon as the lease is up. Is your name on the lease? If he signed it, and you just have a verbal agreement, he can't do anything if you leave now.

Have you tried talking to him? If so i would leave him to paying the bill and you live somewhere else until you pay off the house. Dont live with him stay with a friend, and give him like a certain amount of money to help pay fo rit since you did sign the lease.

you don't need to put your life in trouble if you want to leave just get your stuff and your pet and leave who cares bout the lease let him pay. hes the one being a jerk you can do so much better than him find some one that likes you and will care for you the same way you care for them as in a girlfriend and boyfriend type.

Don't worry about the lease think that you are loosing time in your life with him.Talk to your landlord there should be a way out.You don't need that kind of life specially if you are not married to that person.Get out while you can.

Just leave ,pack your bags and things and just go . Got to go he is just too lazy for you . The lease is his problem. Take the pet if you want it. Leave while he is at work ,no problems that way.

While your still living with him, find a new a apartment and another roommate to replace you (learned that on Judge Judy), let him know that your not happy and dont see a future with him, then the next day move to your new place never having to see him again.

First off let me tell you congratulation on knowing that you are not going to marry him....If you really want to leave....check with the landlord to see if you can be taken off the lease...and if not....ride it out....you do your thing and let him do his...you clean up only your messes....tell him that when the lease is up...you're gone....who knows maybe he will have a wake up call....he can't force you to clean his messes...now can he???
