In the middle, stretched out and taking up the whole mattress and duvet.

I sleep on the side nearest the door. I only use a thin strip down the edge of the bed, I have a single bed and am thinking of getting one of those 3/4 width beds as a normal one is wasting space.

I'm sorry, but how can there be a BETTER side (the sides are only two!) when you perfectly know that during the night you turn several times and change positions? Like anybody else does, obviously. We don't rest like a corpse, when we sleep! So I think you can start whichever position and side you want, you'll certainly change it after a few hours or even less. Have a good night!

Too many unknown variables - where is the bed positioned relative to the door/wall/window? If it's ideally positioned - halfway between 2 walls, with the door opposite - then right side for right-handed people, left side for left-handed. If you sleep with someone else and you are lucky, there is one of each (right- and left-handed!). If the bed is closer to one wall and the door is opposite, then it depends on whether you opt for security (by the wall - think animals who like to keep their back to the wall) or escape (by the door). A psychological puzzle.

If you are right handed, your most likely to fall of on the left side of the bed, and if your left handed, you will most likely fall of the right side of the bed. . . so : if you are left handed sleep on the left side of the bed and if your right handed sleep on the right hand side of the bed

In the middle spread out like a star fish two nights a week, and on the left the other 5 (when Im sharing with my boyf) as he is right handed so it works out better for us to be on those sides in bed when we get jiggy if you know what i mean

If you sleep by yourself in the middle. If you share a bed then on whatever side your other half leaves you.

I sleep on the side away from the wall, if there is a wall! I hate feeling closed in on.....but if my man wishes for that side and he is very sweet to me then I will swap with him! Only for the night though or the next roll around..haha! lol

Always the right side of the bed, however, my husband also loves that side of the bed so its his.

I would imagine that you'd be rather uncomfortable if you slept on the sides of your bed. I prefer to sleep on top of the bed.
