They usually put it int he papers the day before. I've not heard of any change to what they usually do.

There is a basic adage remembered from school - Quote :
"Spring Forward & Fall (Autumn) Back". Lose one hour in March and gain one hour in October. Some older people say that they remember as kids , being out in light at 11 at night , this is because the time used to be put back and forward by two hours at a time. The time goes back 1 hour on the evening of the 28th October.

Yay, an extra hour of sleep! final 2 years i've got been on nighttime shifts whilst the clocks went decrease back and had to artwork an extra hour. So depressing to artwork till 2am and then recognize, oh dam, it incredibly is 1am back now.. would be a welcome exchange! Sorry, i did no longer certainly answer your question.. it incredibly is because of the fact i do no longer understand the respond.

I believe they do go back this year on the 29th. If I remember the legislation you are talking about, Congress extended daylight savings time so that it starts earlier and ends later, but I believe that doesn't go into effect until next year.

Here is an article I found about the new changes: http://www.infoplease.com/spot/daylight1.html

The clocks definately go back - if things were about to change there would have been a huge advertising campaign to let everyone know

This is rather confusing. Last year they were talking about extending daylight saving time which would push it into November.
This year daylight savings time ends October 29th. Next year 2007 Daylight saving time starts March 11th and goes to November 4th.

Yes they do and no they are not going to change it. They tried that a few years ago and it was hell on earth and caused no end of problems. Always dark and it effected farm animals in milking and crops not growing etc big problems so will not be doing it again.
