In the relationship i was in before him, name calling was common when my bf was angry with me, sometimes several times a day. I keep waiting for robert to call me names and he never does. For some reason I think he's odd for not doing it. Why do I think its odd? Shouldn't I be wonderfully happy that I finally have a guy that respects me?

Its just habit and expectation. You are judging your new bf by comparing him to your ex. It will take some getting used to and you may have to change the way you are when you argue, but be happy that there is more respect now than there was before.
You're lucky to have moved on to better things.

Yes you should be happy you have a man that respects you. Why would you settle for anything less??? You were mistreated by your ex,,and i guess thats all you are used to. Thats not the normal way going about arguments. You are lucky to have a good man. Now show him the respect he deserves also. Treat others the way you want to be treated. with respect.

You have been warped for so long you don't know what's healthy.
Where you yelled at and hit as a child? If so your probably looking for that kind of love, when the opposite, healthy relationship comes along you have a tough time adjusting.

the thing is that your use to being treated so badly that thats all you know. Girl you have a man that loves you and respects you don't lose that for some stupid names that you don't deserve to be called.

i admire Jaelyn, new yet no longer weird and wonderful. Amberly feels like Amber Lee, the murdered woman. Charlee-Rae is gorgeous, yet how approximately Charlotte-Rae. yet she would be teased for haveing a boys call in a females call. Jaelyn Raine is gorgeous.

Politeness is wonderful and much sought after trait, especially these days. I would wonder why your worried about it too. Perhaps there is something else that bothers you about him but it's not readily apparent
