I think it is 6 something percent. I know it is too much. My union doesn't do diddly squat for it's members and is sneaky about stuff. It finds ways to get around the rules. And I know for a fact that it has overlooked wrong-doing in a department of the store I work in screwing several nice people out of hours and thus costing them needed insurance. So while the dues are not that much they are also WAY too much! More than you wanted to know? Sorry!

Oh yeah! I don't "give" it to them. They take it.

not sure ahat the percent is but my husband is an operating engineeers and so far this year he has pd1185.00 out of his pay checks then you also have to pay your dues that don't come out of your check, send in directly their around 200.00 a year.
but don't let the money you have to pay the union scare you cause it's worth it plus all the benifits you get are great.
