sunnysj is right, the doc always adds two extra weeks to the pregnancy time table. When it is near delivery time they add a few more days as well....
As for the other guys saying that you have a trust issue well, I think doubt was brought in because you didn't know the facts....but yes, please do not stress her out now, this a crucial time in her pregnancy, stress could cause a whole lot of unwanted side effects for her and the baby....
Good luck!.......daddy-to-be!

Most medical professionals start counting from the first day of your last period. The average person will get pregnant 14-15 days later. So, if she is 8 weeks pregnant that means that the baby was made 6 weeks ago. I'm 35 weeks pregnant, but we made the baby 33 weeks ago. A pregnancy is considered 40 weeks long, but the baby only grows for 38 of those weeks. Hope that this helps.

Yes the baby is yours, they count from the first day of her last period, which means when you find out you're typically 4 weeks but have only actually been pregnant for 2. I'm 7 1/2 weeks right now, which means I've been with child for only 5 1/2 weeks. She's telling you the truth hon. You're going to be a daddy, congrats to you and her.

They count pregnancy from the date of the first day of the last period, so if her period started 8 weeks ago, she would have been fertile exactly 1 1/2 to 2 weeks later. So 6 1/2 weeks is about right. The kid is probably yours.

Well what they do is count from the first day of her last period. So if she is pregant doctors will say 8 weeks pregnant when in all reality implantation occured 6 weeks ago. So yes there is a absolute chance she is telling the truth.

I'd believe her. The dates are taken from the first day of the last period, but conception occurs about 14 days after that, that's where the extra time comes in.
Congratulations, though maybe you should have waited a bit before getting her pregnant? Then you'd have no doubts about her or the baby........

Yes.
You count weeks of pregnancy from the first day of your last period. So you're 8 weeks pregnant but the baby has only been in there for about 6 weeks or so.

The baby could be yours. It's impossible to pinpoint the exact day of conception and 1 1/2 weeks is not all that far off.. On the other hand, the possibility that it isn't yours is definitely there.

Don't worry, you are technically 2 weeks pregnant before you actually get pregnant. That's just the way the calendar works. So if you had sex 6 weeks ago and she is 8 weeks, it's yours.
