I think it's being used as an easy way out, but I think it's a great way to get oneself out of a bind every once in a while, or to have someone explain HOW something is done instead of just simply doing it because "that's the way it's done". Schools around here are pretty bad about that.

EDIT: And in answer to your original question, I don't have any children but I would feel that they were cheating if all their answers were obtained from other people. That is the definition of cheating, right? :-)

Most of the time I've noticed that people only post one or two questions, not a whole assignment. I do object to students who want people to just give them answers to a whole list of questions, but I don't mind helping those who ask for explanations along with the answers and who just need a little help to get over a hurdle.

I think that when you are stumped on a question, it can be helpful to see how to get the answer. Like stated earlier, I don't mind helping a question here and there. I tend to ignore the kids who post lists of questions.

answers, i would be ticked, because it is not helping my child at all, the only thing they are learning is how to cheat and take the easy way out.
When she DOES look for help, i let her ask for an EXPLINATION on here, but not the answer, or for reference sites that can help her, things like that
