Hi there...

I think a visit to you doctor is definitely indicated. While it would be unusual and unlikely for you to be pregant, it isn't unheard of to be pregnant at age 46. But, it could indeed be the beginnings of menopause as well. It's often hard for women in their 40s, since their periods often become somewhat irregular as they approach menopause.

However... and this is a big however... it could be a sign of something more serious than menopause or pregnancy. I don't want to scare you because it's likely menopause, but menstrual changes can also be symptoms of many other diseases and conditions (like cancer).

So, call your doctor ASAP... just to be safe.

Best of luck!

Well, if you've been having sex you could of course be pregnant. Alternatively, you could be going into perimenopause or menopause. Get to a dr. for a pregnancy check, then on to a gynecologist for more testing and information. You're at that age where things change.... My mom had my younger brother at 45, so anything is possible.

Could be either end of the spectrum, the start of a pregnancy or the end of your cycle. Some women have change of life babies, my grandma had two, one at 40 one at 46 and others just have menapause at an early age. I hope it's whatever you want it to be. 46 is young these days.

Yes you can be pregnant.. If you will like to know for sure take a at home pregancy test or you can goto the doctors and they could take a blood test because that is 100% accurate... Good Luck!!!

It is very possible for you to be pregnant, as a pre-med student i my first guess would be the onsets of menopause, but your still young, there are a few uninvasive tests that they can run to check if you are pregnant or if it is menopause. Check with your Obgyn.

I hate to say this but you may be starting to go through menopause. My mother had the same symptoms, thought she might be pregnant, turned out to be early symptoms of menopause. She was in her 40's also.

It sound like your just having bodily changes. Don't get me wrong you could still be pregnant because now adays you're never too old to be pregnant but the systems to me just sound like the change your body goes thru.

As one ages it is common to have a delay and longer gaps between cycles. Also, if you are less active sexually it can hapen. So do not worry and go out and paint the town red!!!! Ha Ha!!!!
