Bad things happen to everyone, and good things happen to everyone. No one is a target...I find myself a subscriber to the belief that "sh*t happens".

While I believe that good and bad things happen to everyone and often for no reason, I also believe that what goes around comes around. While it may take time, those who make frequent efforts to do good are eventually rewarded, sometimes in surprising ways. Things also catch up to those who are mean-spirited. It might take a while, but it does happen most of the time.

I had been with my boyfriend for a year when his ex realized how serious we were she did everything she could to get his attention. I knew she had feelings for him but i let it go cause i trusted him and because at the time she was younger and i thought he wouldn't go there especially since we were living together. She was ugly to me every time i saw her but i never showed her the same ugly attention she gave me, i laughed it off and went on trying to be nice about it. Two yrs into the relationship he had been cheating with her for the past few months it literally killed a part of me. I went through hell but i never lost my cool. I stayed true to who i am. Every thing this girl put me and my relationship through, of all the bad things she said about me over jealousy and today I'm engaged to the man of my dreams, have a beautiful son and a baby on the way. While this girl is lonely and still hates me over something that happened yrs ago. I don't have to rub in her face that she couldn't break me because she See's everyday how happy I am. So yes i do believe what goes around comes around and my life is proof of that.

I tend to agree, a lot of bad things do happen to the good people in life but to make you all feel better, someone I knew quite well who was a nasty vindictive piece of work, real horrible peron, did some horrid things in life to some innocent people, used to use that expression all the time...and got hit by a bus...so yeah, what goes around sometimes does come around.

Your misssing it, bad things happen to all people but evil people end up alone, it may not appear that way but they have no family or friends. As money eclispes humanity to a person family becomes unimportant and soon friends and you evolve into a user. Even if you are successful as a user you still lose because that is all that surronds you and they await your downfall to feast on you and your assets.
Trust me bad people get it horrible not just in this life but the next.

Yes I believe in that saying and hold with it too, if you hurt someone then expect it back, if you do someone down then expect it back and so on, yes there are a lot of good people in this world but there are also a lot of bad ones too and they are the ones that the saying is aimed at generally.

yes. some call it karma.
i'm not saying i don't believe in karma, but i believe people get what is coming to them.
it tells is in the Bible to not take revenge, that God will take care of that. (it's in Romans)
plus, i see it happen all the time. almost like a role reversal too...
bad things do happen to good people, but they can learn and grow from it. bad people live for a really long time, but only so they can suffer on this earth.
case in point: my grandfather will outlive us all just because he did so many bad things. he's had like, 3 different kinds of cancer, can hardly do anything without stopping every 2 minutes to catch his breath. he'll be alive forever to suffer. i'm sure of it. him and the roaches.
anyways.
yes, i do.

It's all Karma. I believe in it.
Me and my friend spoke in depth about this the other day and even though bad things happen to good people, maybe it's just that they are getting the 'come around' for someone close to them. My theory is sooooo long and confusing to explain, but i believe!!

You're right ..bad things do happen to good people but this world is not where we are rewarded. You can call it karma or whatever you like but what goes around eventually comes around. We may not be punished or rewarded in this life, but believe me...judgement will come to all eventually.

i do its one of the truest sayings ever but you might have got it a bit wrong it doesn`t mean bad things can`t happen to good people they can and often do .What its telling you is every thing you do has a consequence or a repercussion so if you do bad things bad things are most likely to come back to you (do you get that )i`m not the best explainer

It is an old saying but I had a thing about that a couple days ago, with a boomerang!! Yes painful I know! But if you turn round in a circle then launch the boomerang and stand with your back to you may get hit with one.
