i mean, seriously. it's all whiney punk, crappy hip/hop, and bad country (as if country were ever good). what ever happened to good rock, badass rap/hip-hop, and jazz? Jazz, noone can dislike jazz.

Because 90% of the new music is computer generated. No one really sings or plays an instrument any more. Every thing is digitally altered

"A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that music used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And, maybe, they’d be happy for a while.

But february made me shiver
With every paper I’d deliver.
Bad news on the doorstep;
I couldn’t take one more step.

I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride,
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died."

Sad, isn't it? I'm not a huge fan of Don McLean, but I can appreciate his pain (although, I'm more pissed than pained)... I'm still holding out. Maybe it'll come back.

I hate jazz. I ♥ metal and punk rock. hip hop is ok every now and then but not to an extreme. country is ok, i dont really like it that much even though I live in the birthplace of country music, I still dont like it.

Repeative lyrics...there are few true musicians and classic writers. The words are lost in rhythm. Gotta love jazz, true story telling.

Because people today have no taste at all. They buy these bad Cd's and go to their concerts paying an arm and a leg. And its all for horrible music.

So musicians today don't have to be creative. It's F this and F that and the masses run out and buy it.

It's all about money. There is no independent radio (or record labels) anymore. If a bunch of suits don't think it'll make money, new, original bands aren't published or exposed.
