Visualisation has sometimes been shown to help in cases such as yours. Basically, you visualise the impulse to move your arm/hand travelling along the pathways from your brain, and then your arm/hand moving as a result. If you want, you can get fancy with it and imagine lots of little workmen rushing around fixing the neural pathways so as to activate the impulses and clear the paths. Whatever you feel comfortable with. It should be done every day - maybe more than once a day - and you should be in a relaxed and comfortable, semi-meditative, half asleep kind of state. Even if the visualisations don't help, at the end of it all you'll be chilled and relaxed, which may even do more good than the visualisation could have. *grin* Its not something that shows results after the first time you try, but keep on at it and who knows what might happen.

You should have a Magnetic Resonance test done. This is the
machine that you go into a tube and, halfway through, you will
receive an iodine shot to increase contrast. The "echo spin" part
of this examination will show if any nerve is not transmitting
the necessary electrical impulse, which comes from your brain,
and commands all movements. This does not hurt, but you
will need a neurosurgeon to prescribe the test. If there is any
transmition problem he can probably fix it. Good luck!

If it's nerve damage it could be in your head(brain damage). After all the brain is a mass of nerves(I know REAL SIMPLE). Did you have a cervical spine fracture?Your "claw" sounds like a Ulnar nerve thing possibly( my wife had this). When you say tests do you mean nerve conductivity tests? Been there , done that myself. I was not impressed and the results didn't document ANY of my symptoms. It does sound like you'll have permanent damage and limited use of your arm. Easy to say ,hard to live with. Myself I've had nerve impingment resulting in a C6-C7 fusion followed by numerous cervial steroid injections and I still have problems. Sounds like we'll both just have to live with it. GOOD LUCK!!

Maybe eventually the brain will find new pathways to help with control. Hope you still try once a day to will a bit of movement. Don't be sad, be strong. peace
