Call your insurance company too and make sure that they cover your satnav for it's full value.

I had mine nicked and my "contents" was only covered for up to £100 (personal loss). Insurance company wouldn't cover for the satnav as they said it was "not part of the car itself".

I love my TomTom so much I have bought another.

HP IPAQ 2100hx series......this one comes with satnav and also can be used as a pocket pc you can download new maps and abroad maps, we have had ours for a year now and have had no problems with this make and its also a good brand name the link above takes you to ebay..most are under £300..when we brought we paid £320 so there are loads of bargains to be had... if there are any problems HP will repair at no extra cost...(by the way we havent got lost with it ...yet..)

the best satnav i found for under 350 is this chip you get implanted in your head and it makes you psychic so you always know were to go its great

My Medion hasn't let me down yet in two years. Plus it is a fair hand held PC.

just bought a naman i300 from halfords online for £99 (basic model but it does the job) its just doesn't play mp3 etc
