I know this works with cowboy boots, not sure how you would do it with ladies shoes, but to loosen / stretch new boots you can fill them with beans and water, the beans will absorb the water and expand stretching the leather boot.

Take them to a cobbler (shoe repair shop) and ask them to stretch your shoes for you. It sounds like you bought yours a half size too small. Good luck!

my daughter had tight shoes so her Dad pushed his foot into them a bit & walked around the house for 10 minutes & then they were stretched enough for my daughter to wear without hurting

If you can squeeze them on over wet socks, & tolerate them around the house for a day, they will stretch.
(Or, you can take them to the bootmaker's & have them stretched. They have a gadget to do that.)

IF YOU HAVE FREE TIME AT HOME, TRY PUTTING ON THICK SOCKS AND WALKING AROUND THE HOUSE IN THE SHOES. OR YOU CAN TAKE THEM TO A SHOEMAKER AND HAVE THEM STRETCHED.
