About 6 weeks ago i went to my Dr because i was bleeding after sex. The Dr thought i may be pregnant as i hadnt had a proper period (very light) and told me to do a test and if i wasnt pregnant to take antibiotics. The test said negative and so i took the antibiotics and the post coital bleeding stopped. My periods are irregular and i had a very short, light period about 2 weeks ago but my breasts started to hurt last week (which only usually happens just before my period). I done another pregnancy test which again was negative. The thing is, every home pregnancy test i done the first time i was pregnant said negative but i was pregnant. Also, i have been more tired than usual and my tummy feels as though its bloated. My last pregnancy was 10 years ago, so i cant quite remember what it was like being pregnant. Does anyone have any advice?? Are my hormones going nuts?? I am only 29 so it cant be the menopause.

I would demand blood work in your case. Urine tests just done seem to cut it for you.
Your period can change for any reason. I dotn understand why doctors insist on regulating it at the first sign of weirdness. Its not natural and its not healthy. Putting you right onto antibiotics?
God i hate doctors, where their common sense?
Anyway, got insist on blood work, atleast from there you will know whether you're pregnant or not.
My thought is that you'r body is just changing its cycle due to hormones, stress, or some other normal factor. i doubt its menopause, unless the women in your family start rediculously early.

Hi - I know just how you feel, I had 2 / 3 really light period, extreme tiredness, morning sickness and everything, 2 weeks late but all tests said negative. Then Sunday, bam! Theres my monthly. Sometimes these things just happen! Sounds like your body going through a bit of a strange patch, but youre best off keeping an eye on it :O) Hugs xx

if i were you i would go to the docotr and have them draw some blood and have them test you that way for pregnancy. the regular pregnancy tests go by your hormone levels, but it is a none fact that blood tests are alot more accurtae. just tell your doctor what is going on and i am sure they will be more than happy to do that for you after all, you are the one paying for it.

you should go to your doctor asap or local clinic . If you have been stressed recently it could be that, but id definatley recommend you go to your doctor. Otherwise try NHS direct.
