Yes its good but it all boils down to personal preference (pencil or liquid) or the type of look you're wanting to achieve.

Liquid liner looks bold while pencil liner looks soft.

I most generally prefer pencil eyeliner as its easier to contol than liquid.

Pros for liquid liner are:

It stays on all day without smearing.
That it gives a certain distinguished look that's hard to get with anything else.
There is no pencil to sharpen with liquid eyeliner.

The cons:

You have to be careful not to get it in your eye, because it stings!
It's hard to get it right, especially with my coloring
Most people can't really pull it off for daytime wear.
The brush may become clogged and dried out.
A pencil gives you more control where as the brush sometimes has a mind of its own and tends to paint where it wants but then pencil will become blunt or can break easily.

If you are using a pencil, try warming the liner on the back of your hand so it smudges across the eyelid easily using short neat strokes, then take a small shadow brush and bit of eye shadow and blend it out so you get a soft diffused effect. The colours should be dense and thicker at the lash line and softly diffused in to the lid. Choose a complimentary shade of eye shadow to the liner that you are applying and give it a soft blending with the sponge tip applicator in your shadow or you can use a cotton bud or a small shadow brush, depending on what tools you have available, and that will set the pencil and keep it from travelling or smearing and give you a soft, subtle, beautiful lined effect.

If you use a liquid liner draw the brush out of the bottle or tube and stroke it against the mouth of the tube to remove excess liquid and taper the brush to a fine point. Begin by pulling your lid taught so the brush will glide along the lid easily. Using the very tip of the brush, stroke the eyeliner evenly across the lid as close to the base of the lashes as possible, beginning with the inner corner of the eye and continuing to the outer corner of the eyelid. Apply the line in several short brush strokes. Ultimately, you want the line to fade slightly from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye but this will take a little practice. I like dragging the line a little bit past the outer corner of the eye, which gives it a softer look.

I use Maybelline "eye express" easy lining pen........very easy to use & remeber practise makes perfect.

There is also a brilliant web site that you can visit which has video demonstrations on application of liner and much much more:

Hope this helps you

Liquid eyeliner is the best, Only if you know how to apply it well.

Pros: Nice crisp line, Doesn't smudge once dry, no need for a sharpener, you always remember to put the lid back on so it doesn't dry up. Lasts a life time.

Con: You have to know how to apply it properly for it to look good

I recommend you buy the cheapest liquid eyeliner to practise. Once you get the hang of it, invest in a better quality one.

Liquid eyeliner is great for dramatic effects. However, liquid eyeliner can be tricky and requires a steady hand. If you're set on buying some, I recommend buying one with a small fine tip.

It is good because it is easier to apply with just a thin line and it dries quickly. You don't have to have a pencil sharpener to keep sharpening it like you would a pencil eyeliner every time the tip breaks off. However, when it dries, later on in the day, it might start chipping off like paint does and sometimes it can be embarrassing because you can end up walking around with chips of it on your eye lashes or on your face and don't realize it. It is still pretty good because like with any other makeup, you check it from time to time. You know women are always looking in the mirror. I still think it is way better than the pencil.

I love love LOVE liquid eyeliner. Thats all i wear. Pencil smudges easily and wears off becasue they are oil based. Some liquids u can even wear underwater or when it rains & it wont smear at all. Wont come off until u wash your face. U can get a very thin precise line with liquid, or u can get a very bold & dramatic line. It works best with darker skin complexions (olive to caramel)

Heh, we look the same don't we? Anyway, I LOVE it! It gives you that 60's mod look... and I used to wear it all the time... I have a really steady hand and used to have to put it on all my girlfriends. Until I got into my "natural" faze and I guess I still haven't gotten out of that... but good luck to you, I think you should do it girl. I used to use a Maybelline one that came in a little white tube and it was dope, BUT there are some out there that come with this cool little foam applicator and it's cut all slanted so you have real precision... look for that kind.

That is all that I have worn for years. the pros is that it doesn't smear (if your eyes water, its perfect). The cons is that by the end of the day, it flakes off and its very hard to apply and look good.
