Or does FM radio suck? I am from Detroit and we are "Detroit Rock City"... yet all of the radio stations here absolutely suck. They play the same repetitive BS over and over and over... day after day after day. And the DJ's ar all pretty crappy as well. We have 1 rock station which plays more Led Zepplin than newer rock, and 2 country stations that abuse the new hits. All the other stations are top 40 crap or oldies, or just general "hit music". But they all suck!

All radio stations repetitively play the same songs. Sometimes they play them at exactly the same time everyday. Three days in a row at 6pm the same song was on the radio. There are thousands of songs out available. Radio stations should try for 5 days in a row NOT to repeat a single song. I would listen to a station that attempted to do that.

Yes, most FM now is corporate bull, and full of commercials.
Try a satellite radio system. I got Sirius about nine months ago and haven't listened to regular FM since. Commercial-free music, all the time, and more varieties of music stations than you can pick in a day. There are commercials on the non-music channels, but not nearly as much as regular stations.

It's not just you...it's like that where I live....where I used to live there was one good station...played a lot of "classic" rock..(I like Zeppelin)..but I can't pick it up where I am at now...here....it's usually the 5 most popular songs played over and over again....sometimes I don't even think they mix the order up. I actually know all the words to songs I actually hate....I just hear them so often...they've eaten into my brain.

I agree whole heartedly....which is why I have Sirius now! I love it. The music is uncensored and played how it was meant to be heard. You should check into it. Don't get XM....I had it and hated it. I listen mostly to Octane 20 (hard rock) and Hard Attack 27 (metal). I don't thik I can live without it now!!

I usually listen to AM,and take in the talk shows learn more that way. all the music now days is more like a sick cow in the wind storm,can't understand it,or just a bunch of screaming.
