Yes, the Nintendo Wii is backwards compatable therefore it will play all gamecube discs that you own, it even has a port for you to plug your gamecube controllers into for playing these games.
Should you choose to hook your Wii up to the internet you will also be able to download n64, snes and nes games onto your system to play.
Hope this helps.

Yes, Wii is backwards compatible with all gamecube games. Also on the side of the system there is a port where you can plug in up to 4 gamecube controllers and 2 memory cards.
You can also download nes, snes, n64, turbografix and sega (genesis?) games via the Wii Channels.

Yes, with the Wii's online capabilities players will be able to surf the internet to make characatures, and download games like from NES. This is so Nintendo can get more people (sister brother mom dad) to play the games. Also I think that with the new wii it could be used for excersise, swinging a remote all day sounds like good arm excersise

In a way, yes. Wii has this internet system where you can buy games at your house. You can buy games from previous consoles, including the NES.
