I took clomid with my daughter. It took 3 cycles (1 on 50 mg didn't make me ovulate and 2 on 100mg). I just took clomid again 3 cycles of 100 mg. I am now 7 and 1/2 weeks pregnant. So, it does work really well. You just have to be aware of when you are ovulating. Generally you ovulate 5-9 days after your LAST pill. Are you using the ovulation predictor kits? Those might help some. As for the side effects, they weren't too bad. I had moderate cramps at the time of ovulation for about 3-4 days. It really helped to know when I was about to ovulate. I had occasional mood swings too about the time I was testing or expecting my period. But that's about it. Good luck! It may take a few cycles but soon I will have another beautiful clomid baby!

I got pregnant my first time on Clomid - 50mg. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage. The second time took 8 months. I started at 50mg., but by the time I conceived, I was up to 200mg. I have a healthy 16 month old daughter. I am starting my 4th month of Clomid today. I have been ovulating, so I'm still at 50mg. I have noticed that I am easily irritated when on Clomid, but other than that, I don't have any problems. Also, since I only take it for 5 days, the side effects don't last long. I also take it at night. I'm not sure if that makes any difference. I just prefer to take meds at night in case of any side effects.

I have used clomid 3 times counting currently. I did not have any side effects at all but it is different for each woman. I also took mine at night right before bedtime so that if I did have side effects I would sleep through them. Of course for some people they would just wake up with them. I didn't have any though. We are currently on our third round but with a new doctor who is alot better and has run tests on both of us. I am not sure if I have ovulated yet this time. I have ovulated the other 2 times once on 50 mg and once on 100 mg.

I did clomid off & on for 3 years. Last year I was able to get pregnant twice while on 200mg but miscarriaged at 7 weeks.
Side affects were horrible. Mood swings, dizzyness (which is why I can't go on it again), tired.

I did 7 cycles with no success. The highest I ever went up to was 100 mg. The side effects were awful, I had every side effect imaginable and I would never go back on it again. Unfortunately I had no succes, but I do have a few friends who have had success. It can work.

Please be aware of Clomid side effects' !! Both my mum and sister developed 2 breast lumps after 6 weeks taking them. I am TTC too and my midwife told me that if I ever decide to take Clomid, i have to take regular checks (weekly ultrasounds and mammograms) to ensure that no cysts and lumps are forming.
Besides that i read on a book that if you take clomid for a long period of time (say 12 months), you have the chance to develop ovarian cancer... Need to say more ??????
You want to risk your life ???
