A nice secluded lake in the evening with a single cabin on the edge of the water and trees everywhere all the way up to the waters edge. and i am standing there with my girlfriend.

When I hear the word lake, I immediately think of this peaceful scene: Flowers growing along the bank, gentle breezes blowing across the water, ducks swimming peacefully with not a care in the world, perhaps a bullfrog croaking his pleasure with the waters he calls home. Sailboats drifting along under a clear blue sky. Sunshine warming your shoulders - fish jumping just for the JOY of jumping. A perfect place to refresh your weary soul - harmony under God's skies and utter peace.

well, where I live, right now, the first thing would be "empty" - our local lake isn't a lake at all anymore due to no rain... we are really suffering around here, been praying for rain daily!
