Area = pi x r^2

8 in = 50 sq in 50/3= 16 sq in.
10 in=79 sq in 79/4=19.75
12 in= 113 113/6=18.8
14 in=160 160/8=20

Who needs pi? The RELATIVE areas of each slice are the same whatever the value of pi, so keep it simple.

8 * 8 / 3 = 21 2/3
10 * 10 / 4 = 25
12 * 12 / 6 = 24
14 * 14 / 8 = 24 1/2

These are the relative sizes of the slices, so you can see which is biggest. The actual areas are less, but less in the same proportion all round.

pi times radius squared will give you the area of a circle.

Once you have the area, figure out what one third of an 8" pie equals, one fourth of a 10" pie, one sixth of a 12" pie, and one eighth of a 14" pie.

If you can't do that, you don't deserve the extra credit.

By the time YOU figure it out, the pizza will be too cold to eat.

Compare the areas of each slice.
Change each of these to decimals:
16pi/3
25pi/4
36pi/6
49pi/8
Which ever decimal is the largest is your answer.
