We have a well and septic. Water pressure at the pump is great. You can turn the valve on at the tank and it gushes from there. Water pressure in our upstairs bathroom shower and sinks is very poor. Even when the pump kicks on, the pressure is not that great. Any suggestions as to what would cause this and a way to fix it?

Check the valve where the water supply enters the home. Make sure it is fully open. Check that the pipe coming into the house has not been damaged or crushed underground. Assuming this has happen over some period of time, the only other suggestion I can offer is that it is possible that your pipes have become rusty or collected mineral deposits inside reducing the inside diameter of the pipe. If this is the case, the only solution is to replace the piping.

well there are a number of things that could cause this...rust or dirt could be clogging your pipes, you may have a busted pipe some where too. I'm not sure how to go about looking for the pipes to locate a clog or leak, we've had this problem before but we lived in a trailer at the time so the pipes were very easy to locate. Are you the home owner or do you rent?? If you rent contact your landlord it should be their responsibility to fix the problem.

this is a leak yet you ought to have observed that for the time of your water invoice. you will possibly evaluate yours with a neighbor to ascertain if there is any important distinction. Pipe occlusion using confusing water deposits ought to influence all human beings. except your place is heavily older than the others in the section, this isn't likely the difficulty. this is a defective water meter yet formerly you call the water business enterprise (they very own each and every thing as much as and such using fact the meter) see if there's a tension adjustment valve only formerly or after the meter. there replaced into one in my final domicile. i did not ought to alter it. i did not understand what it replaced into so I asked and replaced into informed that it replaced right into a tension valve. in case you have one, it must be set too low.

If you have any galvanized pipe in the system it will eventually
corrode. These small corrosion particles will break loose
and clog up small orifices in the fixtures. If your plumbing has
shut off valves, you can remove them and flush the sediment
out, after turning the main water off. Hope this helps.
