Use a chisel to remove the first tile starting at the top and working down. Once you have the first tile removed you need a flat wide blade - I usually use a strong Putty knife. You will find this time consuming but the only way to do it. Once the tiles are removed you will find you will cut into the plaster board a little. Try not to cut into it too much. Get some Cornice Cement and where the wall is rough go over it with the cornice cement. Dont mix a lot of the cornice cement at any one time as it goes off (hardens) quickly. They use cornice cement over gyprock to fix any imperfections or in the corners over the plaster tape. It is easy to use and easy to sand if you need to but is dusty when sanded. Hope this helps

There is a tile tool to remove the grout. After you remove the grout you'll want to use a chisel and hammer to start removing and prying the tile off. You may find it easier just to remove the plasterboard and all and just redrywall the walls. Might be a little more expensive, but might save you a lot of time too.

Get a paint scraper (about 100mm wide) and put it flush against the side of a tile and smack it good and proper and it will come off whole, do that to the rest and your cleaning time will be reduced and it works like a charm. You may need a few scrapers, depending on how many tile you intend removing. good luck!

Just throw out the plasterboard with the tiles on it and get new plasterboard, its pretty cheap stuff, and easy to cut and replace, hardly worth the effort of carefully removing the tiles.
