I want to buy an external enclosure for one of my old hard disks but I don't know which size I need.

The top surface of My HD is roughly 3.5" accross and 5.25" lengthways, which are of course the two standard sizes!

Which one should I be looking at? Many thanks.

as you said, thats standard. just get a standard enclosure as the only other size is for a laptop hd and those are very small, and clearly labeled.

There are countless measurements: a million) RPM - revolutions in line with minute of the disk platters 2) Latency - time it takes to pass the examine/write head to the area asked 3) circulate velocity - velocity in MB in line with 2d that records is circulate to/from the force

You might want to find out which HDD you have i.e. SATA or ATA and get the right enclosure. They have different type of connectors.
