A woman's menstrual cycle is approximately 28 days. It generally coincides with the moon's cycle. However, your body responds to other things besides the moon, like stress in your life, your general health, how much you exercise, etc.
Get a calendar and make an X on the 14th of September, the last day you were bleeding. Count 28 days (that's 4 weeks) and your bleeding time should start again on Thursday, Oct. 12.
The key word here is "should". Every woman is different. My mother's cycles were 28 days exactly, from the day she started menstruating at age 13 until she finished menopause. She was so regular that when she counted back for the skipped months during her 4 pregnancies, her period resumed to the day where she left off. Go figure. My own cycles were much less regular, occuring from 22-35 days depending on my stress level, even if I was not sexually active. I have a friend who is otherwise healthy, but skips 3-4 months between her periods and is not pregnant.
You should keep Xing the calendar for a few years to establish your personal pattern.

Most people don't know this but not every woman follows the typical 28 day cycle. What you need to do is record every single day of your cycle (date, time of day you noticed it to start, and then every day after until the last day, note your volume of flow each day as in light,,heavy..medium? you know....did you "pass" anything and if so how often, how much) After you have recorded your cycles during a 6-9 month period of time only then will you know what YOUR cycle is. I keep an ongoing record, it's weird, I know, but there have been a few times it's been really helpful. Saved my life too. If me and my gynecologist hadn't noticed a change here or there it may have been too late. Good Luck!!!

On October 13th or so...give or take a day according to how regular you are. Most womens cycles are 28 days, some have shorter or longer ones....so count 28 from your last day and you should know your next start date, approximately....Good luck!
