In the house is a good location because far more people are injured while doing housework chores or DYI than are attacked in the street.
When mowing the lawn, protect your feet with heavy (steel capped) boots. Make sure the power cable is well out of the way of the blades at all times.
When using a power tool (a drill for example) use safety glasses.
Always make sure a ladder is in good repair and it stable and secure before climbing up it.
When working with electricity (even if changing a light bulb), make sure the circuit is isolated at the breaker box before starting. Test the circuit again before working on it (you may of flipped the wrong breaker).
Cut away from you when using a knife.
When loading a dish washer, always load sharp knives point downwards or horizontally in the trays. There has been several deaths caused by people tripping on the open door and falling on the upturned blades.
Keep medicines and cleaning fluids out of sight and reach of children to avoid accidental poisoning. Always check the use by date on medicines before use.
Use the right tool for the job.
Never put a rug without underlaying grippers on a newly polished wooden floor. Its a slip hazard.
Keep the top of stairs free from trip hazards.
I could go on and on. Good luck.

Never mind needing them for your BTec course you need them to get through your life!
All day, every day you are unconsciously carrying out risk assessments on what for you could be hazardous. For example you will know how not to put yourself in a vulnerable position and you will have learnt this via your life experiences.

Never use a plug or socket when your hands are wet.
Don't bring electricals into the bathroom.
If you have a child try to get as fire guard for your gas heater.
Don't leave a child near an iron. (Obvious but my brother had a scar on his stomach for years.)
Try to buy plug sockets.
Don't stick things into a socket.
Don't put to many plugs into one socket. (something like that.)
Try to have a fire extinguisher.
(Are these personal safety I don't know, but they are safety I suppose)
Don't leave bleach (etc) in a cupboard where it can be reached by children.
Don't put posion where a pet can get it.

I was always taught to carry a comb
If you're attacked run the ''tooth'' bits very fast(and hard) underneath the tip of their nose (across the bit between your nostrals) - try it, it bl**dy hurts!
