If your identity was stolan you should report it to your credit card companies and let them know the last few sites you visited were. Also, microsoft's at home security site has a listing of what you can do to report so called "phishing" websites. To help beter protect yourself there is software...

One is Earthlink toolbar which can be found at earthlink.net
Another is Internet Explorer 7 which can be downloaded from microsofts website. Mozilla Firefox added phishing protection to their new firefox 2.0 browser. You can download that from getfirefox.com...

Good Luck. Stay Protected out there...

bummer eh .. i've heard about identity theft.. and how it can take years 2 clean your name and how costly it can be.. the closes i came 2 someone like that was someone used my name 2 ask about a 203,000 dollar loan 2 a mortgage co.. on the computer.. and the mortgage co. called me .. i called the big 3 credit card holders and had a red flag put on my name.. yes someone hacked into my computer.. not once, but 2 many times.. the hacker was able 2 disable Mcafee and Norton.. i went 2 my account in mail room and changed my real name and put in a screen name and sure enough i received mail at my old address with my screen name on it from the post office.. so it would be wise 4 all 2 not use any real names or any real addresses on the computers.. and never use your social security on the computer and never carry your card in your wallet.. crap happens 2 the best of us..
