Psychologists have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on behaviour around Full Moon. They find that studies are not consistent, with some showing a positive effect, while others will show a negative effect. In one instance, the December 23, 2000 issue of the British Medical Journal published two studies on dog bite admission to hospitals in England and Australia.

The study of the Bradford Royal Infirmary found that dog bites were twice as common at Full Moon, while the study of public hospitals in Australia found they were less likely at Full Moon. Psychologists point out that there is a difference between correlation and causation.

The mere fact that two events happen at the same time doesn't mean that there is a cause and effect relationship between the two.

No! the mood of a person changing has no relation with phases of the moon. Both the things cannot do not have any common perspective. It can be by chance that you have a good or bad mood on a full moon day due to some reason. In brief, science and human feelings have no relation at all.

I think that it is plausible that people experience mood changes under a full moon. But allow me to present two opposing cases.

I do think that under a full moon people are more active at night because there is much greater visibility after dark. And I think that this increase in activity is what creates a perceived mood change. So in this sense I would say no, the moon is not affecting our mood.

Or, let's examine our internal biological clock. Our body takes cues from the world around us. Two of these cues are for sleeping and waking. When we experience darkness our bodies naturally want to sleep. When daylight breaks our bodies naturally want to be awake. So under a full moon our body is being tricked a bit and our bodies do not get the full effect of the darkness cue. So in this sense I would say yes, a full moon changes our mood.

I think either is a reasonable case and I am more inclined to believe the latter is true.

yes of course... the reason though is not because of the way the moon looks .. sometimes we see movies where people gt lunatic when they see the full moon bt that's not the case... people's mood change during full moon cuz two gravity forces from the moon and the earth reacts to the person and make things really stressful to the brain.. so if a person dont even look at the full moon, their mood may also change..

Yes, I believe people are affected by the moon and one way is their mood. I find I can't sleep, and the next day find out most of my friends didn't sleep that night either! Think of it, the moon affects the ocean! How could it not affect people?

There's excitement in the air when a full moon is arise, in most cases. Some people get mad when they see a full moon pressed up against the window though. One time at band camp, there were three girls in the backseat that mooned me. That was terrific.

Well anything that is beautiful, such as a full moon, can change people's mood, unless you choose to be indifferent to the beauty of nature.

Well, it needs to be studied more, but it seems pretty possible. Moon's influence can be seen on other things, so why not human behavior? You probably heard of pyramid's power, and how it can sharpen the razor when on moonlight. Maybe there is some truth in that.

definitely, I don't know why though. maybe because it's so disorienting to see that big shiny thing up there.
There is a member of our family, my sister-in-law that we try to stay away from when the moon gets full. She basically goes berserk and thinks strange thoughts, paranoid delusional. lots of studies have shown that the murder rate goes up during the full moon. hopefully it won't happen here though!
