Ok......lets take one question at a time.
1. what is the effect of increasing the cc?
a. normally it should increase the combustion area in the cylinder head. which means, more area for combustion. i.e. if you also increase the quantity of charge (air fuel mixture) that enters the engine, the power developed is more.
this is what a average person will give you.
the other effects are, the cylinder head designed for the engine is not made considering the aesthetic properties (respect the engineers who have designed it) it is there with a specific design purpose. changing which, will cause a damage to the engine.. if you increase the cc, why didnt the engineers do it? reason is simple, they have calculated the factor of safety before putting it there, and changing which is dangerous. so dont mess with it. if you want a higher end bike...buy another! there are plenty available. have mercy on your machine!!!

2. increasing the no. of strokes?
a. am i leaving in a pre historic era? or is it you who has got his hands on a wrong technical dictionary?
dude any engine (ic engine) has only four strokes. i. intake ii. compression iii. power iv. exhaust. you increase the strokes i'll give you a nobel prize!!!
and if you are mentioning the frequency of the cycle i.e. the rpm the effect is
increase in the top speed and also as i said before
damage to your machine!!!
dude, honestly, if you are so keen to mess with ur machine (just because u heard it somewhere) get it done by an expert and be prepared for increased maintenence costs and also to bid it good bye in a few years!!!
thats all i can say...the rest is upto you...
best luck!!

Are we talking 4 stroke engine here? You cant increase the number of strokes but you can increase the length of the stroke by installing a different crankshaft or if its a Harley different flywheels. By doing this you will increase the cc,s and the engine will have much greater torque and horsepower.

It depends on the size of the motor now. (CCs) Sometimes you go through that process and you have not boosted the power enough to justify spending the money to do so. Check with the manufactorer to see what you can do and the results. Go online to the Site and you can get a Toll Free number to call I am sure.

You cannot increase the # of strokes, but you CAN increase the length of the stroke for more displacement and power. Boring the eng for more cc's will add power too.

What Haddi baba said about cc is correct. But for stroke its a bit different.

Each stroke has the four cycles mentioned by haddi baba. There are mainly two kinds of engines. Two stroke and Four stroke. In case of Two stroke engine two strokes(each stroke has four cycles) are required for one rotation of crank shaft. Same with four stroke. Hence the power delivery of two stroke is more exponential compared to four stroke engine.
