I'm doing a course in an adult education centre and we're not allowed to use the main door to the building. Who's using it?! The receptionist?
They said it was because of the image, incase we wear hoodies, or look dirty (as you do) or something horrid like that. So we're carted in and out the back entrance where the rubbish is collected etc. Who the hell comes up with these rules? Should there be a dress code for certain entrances? Also, me and my classmates are all regular, self-respecting adults. It's not as if we hurl abuse at people walking by.. Wow, I'm really annoyed now.
Enforced by the queen receptionist!

No jeans except on "casual Friday". I hate polyester pants.
Imposed by a male employer and enforced by a male supervisor. I'm a male... and I have no problems with it. It's a rule in the Company Policy Manual.

When I worked for the corporate headquarters for well known national fish restaurant, we were not allowed to bring a food from another restaurant in the building, not even a cup. So, if I wanted to grab lunch at McDonald's or Arby's and work during my lunch hour while I ate at my desk , I could have gotten fired. My supervisor was male, don't know why that would matter to your question though.

You must fill in a form and have it signed by your manager if you want to send something by first class post instead of second class. This form will then have to be processed by the mail room before the mail can be sent.
The head of the mail room is a male but his boss is female, I don't know which one decided on that ridiculous rule.
