I'd stay away from the ginseng, my friend (a naturalist) told me that's no good for pregnancy. And all those "natural" products, there are hardly any studies done on what they do in pregnancy....I try to stay away from them all just cause we can't be sure.
I do enjoy fruit tisanes though, try some of those, there are tons of flavours.

I know how you feel, giger ale was the only thing to soothe my nasea early on. It does NOT have caffiene so it's safe to drink (just make sure it doesnt replace much needed water/milk/OJ). Having it on the side with or before meals should really help. I have read, however, that herbal teas (anything "herbal") can cause problems in late pregnancy such as contractions. Not enough research has been done on herbal supplements to determine their safety throughout pregnancy though. So I would continue with the ginger ale and skip herbal teas.

I can't answer the ginger ale question though i know I drank it during all of my pregnancies and had 4 healthy babies. But the teas you have to be a bit more careful with, especially avoid caffeine. Also you can google, safety of herbal teas during pregnancy and many sites will come up but babycentre is the best with a list of acceptable teas to drink during pregnancy and certain herbs to avoid. Good luck. Gingersnap cookies help too, if you like the taste of ginger.

Ginger ale is great for nausea. Some brands have better quality than others - stick with Schweppes or Canada Dry Ginger Ale. Would not advise taking ginseng in any form while pregnant - check with doctor before trying any herbal stuff.

It won't hurt a thing. If it works keep it up! Ask your doctor if you are still unsure, but it can't do any damage unless it is used in excess.(a few gallons a day). LOL Caffeine isn't good for anyone, especially pregnant women, but in moderation I am positive your doctor would approve. A banana always helped me! (just for future reference if the tea stop helping)
GOOD LUCK & CONGRATULATIONS!!!
