The DVLA know exactly where any untaxed car is located among the millions of cars in Britain.
But the Government haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located.

It's the same in the US, here they can track a steer from birth to your dinner table, and can't locate illegal immigrants and secure the borders. It gets worse, I heard the story yesterday, how one of our social security recipients (old age pensioner?) was mailed a letter telling him his benefits would end because he was deceased, which was news to the very alive man! He went down to the Social Security office only to be informed again of his "death" to which after much protesting and the showing of personal ID, it was finally admitted that the computer had "made a mistake!"
And while on the face of it, it seems humourous, at the same time, it highlights a growing problem, when we can't even ID our social security recipients properly, how on earth can we track illegal immigrants and terrorists?

Any government body that keeps accurate records and does the job its paid for properly will always do exactly what it is required ot do - as long as its making a monetary profit off us hard working taxpayers.The minute you aks them to find and deport illegals, paperwork will become a mess as, as they look at it, we dont want to lose cheap labour and actually spend money doing somethign pro-active for the country unless we can make more.

Let's face it - ANYBODY could do a better job of finding the illegals than the present assortment - don't forget that one of the workers at the immigration office was found to be an illegal recently, so what hope is there for any of us !!!!!!!!!
