I just spoke with my mom and they are getting ready to make a potjie. She said it just isn't the same without me and my family. Shame! Can you list 5 or more things that go best with making potjie? My list includes beer, pictionary, friends (good company), dominoes and "stokbrood".

A nice cold bottle of white wine. I don't know about ppl playing pictionary or dominoes.
PS A no.5 pot and some good SA music is a must for a good potjie

The potjie generally has everything in it, but for extras I like
-Stokbrood, or some Askoek.
-I like to a beer shandy (so some Castle and soda, please)
-Watermelon, cause a potjie is best enjoyed outside in the summer, preferably next to a pool. I you dont have a pool, you find a neighbour who does.
And some good company, to talk to while the potjie "pruts" away.

Stokbrood is a must, tinky tert (squished tinkies, caramel treat, peanut brittle and whipped cream- absolute sin) vir pudding, 'n lekker dop, good friends and of course good music.
