should I buy a PS3 or the Wii?

i know the playstation 3 premium is going to be $600.00 and the Wii is going to be $250.00 but which one has the beter launch titles?

Depends on what kind of games youre into really. From what Ive read around the internet, the PS3 will be for casual gamers that only play about 3 hours a week and people who want high end graphics. People that dont have a lot of money and gamers that want to play something besides shooters will want the Wii

PS3 will launch with a lot of First person shooters like F.E.A.R, call of duty 3, Resistance:fall of man,Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas and of course all the usual racing and sports titles

The Wii will come with a lot of the same games the PS3 offers (with lower resolution graphics of course) as well as other titles that utilize its motion sensing controller in different ways. Some major ones include The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Red Steel, Excite Truck, Wario ware: Smooth Moves, and will come with Wii sports right out of the box

Popular consensus among gamers is that the ps3 is the more capable of the two, but the price tag ( factoring in the cost of the ps3, 1 game and a memory card) is too steep for most


Its also worth noting that you probably wont get a ps3 for anything less than $1000 cause there is already a shortage.

The PS3 is losing rapid support from the big game publishers (EA, Ubisoft, Capcom ect.). It will mainly have Sony titles, with a few other big titles, but little to none will be exclusive. Wii will have more exclusives and backing from publishers, as will the 360.
This is mainly because of the expense gaming publishers have gone through to develop games for the blue ray. The technology behind it means coding for games can be unpredictable and changeable at the best of times making the PS3 only games able to be developed by the best.

I would get the Wii and the 360 for the same price.

WHY DOES EVERYONE SAY THAT THE WII SUCKS?!? Nintendo started the video game industry before Sony OR Microsoft. They have the most experience on how to get gamers to enjoy their consules. The Wii is definately going to steal competition this time, although Nintendo stated that they won't compete in this game generation. The Wii has interesting launch titles, including the highly anticipated Zelda: The Twilight Princess. PS3 might be better than Wii, but the Wii is better than PS3 in originality.

The ps3 will have better graphics and hold much more memory because of the blue ray disk but for what i personally think, i will buy the wii because lots of games are coming out with it, 30 that i know of, and their graphics have always been very good and so haven't their games. And their price at least is reasonable and not so outrageous like ps3, who needs all that stuff that ps3 does anyways? the wii you can connect to the internet, edit photos etc.
but how many of us really use that stuff with the pc 's that we have? wii just need a gaming console and I think wii is it.

Depends on what you prefer to play. wii will have games such as Legend of zelda: twilight princess(which by the way i cant wait to play)and ps3 will have games like assasins creed which actually looks amazing.In my opinion buy the wii for now you know yourself you will end up with both when the ps3 drops in price.

Wii is going to put out better games (like Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, WOOT! ;D) but if you want better graphics, go for PS3. I would get the Wii.
