Yes they do. My relatives are from hot countries & have come to North America many times to vacation with those of us who live here during the christmas holidays.

Yes, I just had dinner with some Singaporeans and they were mentioning that they had planned a trip to NZ and were very excited that it would be cool enough to "wear a jacket" ! I also know some Indonesians who love to travel to cooler climates while on holiday. I was describing how I had driven my car on a frozen lake in Canada to a tour guide in Vietnam - he was shocked and hoped one day to travel to a cold country - so I'd say yes - people who live in hot climates are drawn to cold ones just to feel the difference !

Your question makes me think of a series of pictures someone emailed to me... In Dubai, United Arab Emirates where the temperatures are WARM, they built their own ski resort. Check this out! The engineers and designers were completely brilliant on this.

haha, not here in western australia, we head up north for even hotter weather, more isolated beaches, better fishing etc
although some people do talk about going to see snow they dont seem to do it very often, unless they do the europe trip thing when younger
