To join a client PC to a Domain.
If you have setup the Server correctly I assume you will have configured an Active Directory Domain.
On the client (XP I assume) Right click on "My Computer"
Go To "Properties"
Click on "Computer Name" Tab. Here is network wizard for joining the PC to the Domain. You have to be a Domain administrator to do so. Or use the Domain admin account.
You can use the "Change" button.

In there you will see "Member Of" option.
Click the member of button and put your domain name in the window. e.g Microsoft would use something like:-
Microsoft.com

Make sure you are in the same workgroup on each computer. Make sure the user is created on the server.Log on the client with the user you created on the server. On the server share a folder set permisions for the user. you should be abe to see the share on the client computer

good luck
