Stretch marks are a form of scarring generally associated with pregnancy, obesity, bodybuilding, puberty, and intense physical activity. They result from overstretching of the skin, which disrupts the normal production of collagen, causing a scar. Medical terminology for these kinds of markings include striae, striae atrophicae, vergetures, striae cutis distensae, striae gravidarum (in cases where it is caused by pregnancy), lineae atrophicae, striae distensae, linea albicante.

In your case it has come because of your gaining weight and loosing weight alternately often. There is cure for this but you can take some Vitamin A or E pills and also have the spot massaged either with Cocoa Butter or Olive Oil or Castor Oil. To sum extent the marks may go away.

It is very normal to get stretch marks when your body is growing, the same as when you grow during pregnancy. It is all down to elasticity of your skin and the rate it grows and their is nothing you can do, if your mum or dad have got them then I am afraid so will you. If you drink loads of water and eat healthily then that will help and you can also get some cream called Bio-oil ( from most chemist's) that will help then to fade.

Yes, it is normal to get stretch marks at our age, even if you are thin. Your body is growing and taking on a more mature shape so that certain area will be growing faster than your skin accomadates. Don't worry, they will fade so much they will be hard to notice. I recommend keeping your skin moisturized in these areas. It won't stop them, but it may help.

Age is not really a matter, but if you have gained weight or lost weight quickly that can cause stretch marks, try some creams or tone up your arms and stomach, catch the problem before it gets worse. My friend ways 10lbs soaking wet and she has stretch marks bad on her legs????????????/

Yes, anytime your skin stretches it is normal to have stretch marks. If you are overweight, your skin is stretching to accomodate the extra weight. If you are not overweight, maybe you are growing so fast that your skin is trying to keep up with your growth. If you lift weights your skin can get stretch marks from stretching out to accomodate the muscle. There are many reasons (besides childbirth) for stretchmarks.

Yes, that is normal. That is because your skin doesn't have allot of elasticity, so when you grow your skin doesn't stretch easily. If you want them do get light and almost gone use Vitamin K soap bars.

Stretch marks are hormonal. They have nothing to do with being fat or thin. Some fat people have no stretch marks and some skinny people are just covered with them.

its very normal, dont panic, you are still growing, and when you grow fast the skin has to stretch to fit, thus the marks, they will fade, but will never disapear permanatly.
