My husband knows Tim Firth. I know a couple of soap actors from Corrie and Emmerdale and some of the lads from Elbow. My brother in law is mates with Clint from The Inspiral Carpets and he also knows Richard Ashcroft. I used to hang around with a band who never made it, but at some recording studios I met Mick Khan and 808 State! Remember them?Years ago, as a student, I worked on a kids' programme called "The 8.15 From Manchester", so I met a lot of celebs then. I never made friends with any of them though.

I used to live in Encino, Ca., well known for famous actors, actress types and well known celebrities. I grew up with the names Walt Disney, John Wooden, Arthea Franklin, Mike Conners, Julis Wechter, Paul Mooney, Al Jolsen as neighbors during my childhood.
My last two neighbors of fame: In Al Jolsen's former mansion next door: Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen. Many more to note however other names like Jack Webb, Dick Van Dyke, E. Zimbilst Jr., many producers, directors etc.

Some famous I know personally unfortunately: Michael Jackson and O.J. Simpson. Those two should click just fine...

Remotely? Yeah, I have that down.

Stood on stage with and met Jimmy Hendrix in the 60's; had one date with the manager of the Turtle's (60's); my girlfriend grew up with Tom Petty and knows the whole family; Pete Fountain use to live around the corner (jazz clarinet great) and my hubby did plumbing for Aaron Neville. I had a patient who was a chorus boy for Frank Sinatra & Judy Garland, and claimed he slept with several movie stars. Knew a few people who murdered some folks, then killed themselves. Hubby was a regular dancer on a famous tv dance show. And my uncle is in the Genisus Book of World records for killing, dressing, skinning, cooking and eating a chicken in less than 3 minutes. His name was Buck Fulford is you want to look it up. Makes me sort of weird, doesn't it? LOL

Of course, I, myself, am remotely famous.....kinda.

Godloveya.

When I was 14-16 I used to knock about with Joanne Whalley and Yvette Fielding. Lost touch though when we left school before they were famous, we didn't go to the same schools anyway so maybe that's why. We used to hang out on the park. Yvette was lovely and made us all laugh but Joanne thought she was someone special and she really wasn't.

I guess so. I played chess against a chess master on the Internet. She was interviewed by that same site, chessmaniac.com. I don't know her in person though.

Maybe your question should be whether someone even remotely famous knows us.

Having to live up to the expectations of a famous father is emotionally crucifying.

I do.
Matt Skelton, the heavyweight boxer is a good mate of mine. We were in the same class at school. He lives round the corner from me. I see him most weeks. Is that famous enough?

I know Lee (I forgot his surname) He was the stutterer on The Lakes, he was Johnny Vaughns brother on that sit com he did, he was in 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps a few times, he was on the kit kat advert in the footy changing rooms and he said "si sinora", he was in Dragonheart with Sean Connery. He also won the lotto, jammy bugger!
