Everywhere, according to Huey Lewis and the News.
(especially when the local DJ's started messing with the song and adding their locations to it)

Sun Records in Memphis. This place gave birth to rock n' Roll. The greats got their start here. Johnny Cash, Elvis, Roy Orbison, and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Would that be Cleavland in honour of Alan Freed, coiner of the phrase "Rock n' Roll"? I guess it's up for debate but if you're specifically referring to Huey Lewis, he even names Cleavland first in his list of cities at the end of the song "Heart of Rock n' Roll". You'll have to give it a listen to hear that though as it's not in the lyrics when you google it.

They say it's in the beat, but it's not. It's in the bass.
