TRUST ME, NOTHING!! My friend does it all the time when she wants a new phone

I can see people thinking that way especially when paying for insurance to cell phone co. Yeah, they will shut phone off. If 5 yrs down the road you tell them you don't need a phone you'll use a very old one, I'm sure they will look up their records and see smuck is using same phone he claimed he lost. I don't see where you gain.

are you trying to get out of a bill?

if so, you will be in for a rude awakening. the company will track the phone records and if they can connect the dots then you will hang.

really, whatever the reason, i cant see how committing fraud can be the right choice.

the first thing they'll do is shut the phone off so that no calls can be made, so why would you report it stolen?? what are your motives??

u will be easily caught becuase there will be a uniquie number for each phone so beware and it is against the law

Depends what you are claiming - a new phone? insurance?

If they catch you , you could face a criminal conviction.
